Personally I'm in two minds regarding the direction WWE have taken with this storyline. On the one hand I'm crushingly disappointed that WWE missed another perfect chance to finally take a risk and turn John Cena heel. The idea of Cena turning heel alongside Triple H, forming a modern day "Corporation" would be a huge shocker, make complete sense given both men are true company men on and off-screen and would set Punk up perfectly as the new Anti-Hero for this generation. Alas, that was not to be.
Alberto Del Rio alluded to the fact that he may be cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase in an interview conducted prior to the event, that certainly wasn't a jaw-dropper, but what was intriguing was Kevin Nash's involvement. Let's be clear, I was very much against Nash's involvement in TNA, as a big fan of their programming. And at 52 with two bad knees, I have no desire to see the man in the ring. But it's the potential storylines that could arise from his involvement that are exciting.
Many suspect Nash will be revealed as Alberto Del Rio's new bodyguard, but if he was surely he would have hung around to ensure Del Rio cashed in successfully wouldn't he? What if Nash was there to call Triple H's intentions into doubt? What if it was all a ruse to have CM Punk believe Triple H was against him as champion? And what if this is a harbinger for the return of...THE KLIQ!
